The O's

I thought I would start blogging again. Maybe I will keep up with it this time.

Who would have thought that the O's would be this good. Do you remember the starting lineup on opening day?

SS: Hardy
3B: Reynolds
RF: Markakis
CF: Jones
LF: Reimold

Pitching rotation
1. Arrieta
2. Hunter
3. Hammel
4. Matusz
5. Chen
Closer: Johnson

When looking at this lineup and pitching rotation it looked like another losing season with no hopes of getting better.  That was what everyone in Baltimore and across the country were saying. The O's front office did nothing in the off season to improve the team.

But now we are battling for a playoff spot. We are still competing against the Rays and the Yankees for the Division and we could be over .500 for the first time in a long time. Our lineup now looks completely differnent.

If you started the year with this lineup and pitching rotation people would probably say the same thing. Another losing season, but for some reason its working. These guys are playing great baseball. They are truly playing one game at a time. They are not looking ahead and they are not looking back. The Orioles with the win last night tied their wins from all of last year. They ended last year with the best night ever beating the Red Sox in the last game on September 28th. Now we can have the best year ever if they keep playing great baseball.
